Job Requirements

Cooks (experienced)
Will prepare cooked foods and must be able to perform all station functions of Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs; communicating ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers as necessary. Starbucks Cashier/Barista
Responsible for fulfilling orders and completing sales transactions within a Starbucks establishment and performing other support functions. which may include cleaning the food preparation, customer seating or stock areas and maintaining inventory. Cash handling and customer service experience preferred; great people skills required.

Servers
Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery of food to ensure guest satisfaction, observes guests to respond to any additional needs. Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages. Requires at least 6 months of closely related serving experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred

Bartenders
The Bartender is responsible for greeting customers, taking drink/food orders, mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks, as well as serving beer and other beverages, and completing transactions; communicating ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and the servers as necessary. Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages and possess at least 1 year of closely related bartending experience; work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred. Requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation and keeping updated on new and revised beverage recipes.

Required Qualifications

Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and/or Restaurant Management. Minimum of three (3) years direct or related work experience in Culinary Arts and/or Restaurant Management. Knowledge, skills, and abilities relative to teaching area.

Preferred Qualifications

American Culinary Federation (ACF) certified. Previous teaching in an ACF program. ServSafe® certified Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants are encouraged to apply

1. 2. Professional Development – Maintains high standards of competence in the discipline(s) and teaching methodologies through professional development activities. – Plans, develops, and uses effective teaching methods and materials which assist students in meeting course objectives, are appropriate for students with diverse educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles, and engage the students in learning. – Reviews, evaluates, reflects, and revises program curricula and teaching methods through a self-evaluation process of self reflection. – Meets or exceeds professional standards, state-mandated guidelines, requirements of business/industry, and higher education, as appropriate to the discipline(s).

3. Service – Actively participates in college meetings and/or committees, task forces, and councils. – Participates in college-related activities such as registration, community education, recruitment of students, student retention, and faculty selection. – Participates in college activities for students/student organizations to aid in retention. – Participates in business and community activities that foster goodwill and promote the mission and values of the college. – Participates in activities required to maintain program and college accreditation standards. – Participates in setting departmental goals, in developing college budgets that support the goals, and in planning for achieving those goals. – Promotes and maintains departmental affiliation agreements and other partnerships with other institutions.

In addition to the Essential Job Functions listed above in this posting, this position will also have the following responsibilities:

- Teach both culinary and baking and pastry courses in the existing certificate and degree programs.

- Teach specialty and multicultural culinary courses in the department.

- Provide relevant, interesting, and challenging assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting.

- Provide outreach to the high school culinary classes.

- Mentor and support adjunct culinary faculty.

- Advise current and incoming culinary students.

Our Fast Food Attendants are responsible for performing a variety of duties within a fast food / snack bar establishment which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers and taking food order; providing information about menus; looking for opportunity to “up-sell” products.
