Assistant F & B Restaurant Manager (Job #118212)

This is an intermediate level assistant manager, typically supporting the manager of a store with medium sales volume and moderately complex operations, and is responsible for day-to-day supervising of non-management associates, assigning work to non-management associates, focusing on store level operation performance, coaching and developing Shift Supervisors and other non-management associates, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned Management of which associate is capable of performing.

Specific duties will include:

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of Shift Supervisors and other non-management associates.
  • Assign work responsibilities, prepare schedules, and ensure that all shifts are covered.
  • Prepare daily orders, ensure units are stocked with appropriate levels of product and coach Shift Supervisors on order procedures.
  • Conduct and coordinate on-the-job training for associates and ensure all associates receive basic skills training to perform their jobs.
  • Resolve most questions and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other status change of associates within the store.

Requirements include:

  • Two (2) or more years of job-related experience in medium volume and/or multi-unit Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations or other related management experience; 3 or more years are preferred.
  • Previous experience as an exempt assistant manager.
  • Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
