Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma/GED; college degree in hospitality, restaurant management preferred; brand certification a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in high volume and/or multi-unit Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations or other related management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth while improving customer and associate satisfaction; demonstrates strong leadership, personnel management and interpersonal skills; a proven background in maintaining strong cost control and quality standards
  • Demonstrated team management, delegation, issue resolution, and coaching skills and ability to motivate others and act as a change agent
  • Demonstrated organizational and multi-project time/issue management skills

POSITION SUMMARY:

Next Street client, Lupoli Companies, is seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong background in the restaurant or food service industries to join its team. This position will oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, sanitation and day to day operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
-Develop, plan and carry out restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5-7 years of experience in the restaurant and/or food service industries preferred.
-Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.
-Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions.
-Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
-Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
-Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
