Manager for Vegan Restaurant

The Cafe Manager is a full time, hands-on position for a 70 seat cafe with responsibility for all restaurant-related functions, systems and processes. Your active involvement will be in achieving outstanding guest service, build sales and provide sound cost controls so they will result in timely, consistent, and superior performance to your restaurant and your guests. Tasks and Duties:
• Supervise and coordinate duties by handling staffing needs, vendor relations, training, food safety, high food standards and ensure the integrity of the restaurant.
• Support various human resource related functions including coaching, development, leadership, and direction.
• Recruit, interview and hire team members; conduct performance review, take discipline action, motivate and train.
• Ensure proper safety and sanitation practices are in place and that the established standards are consistently achieved.
• Ensure food quality and safety meets or exceeds company expectations for all health inspections and Steritech audits.
• Control Profit & Loss (i.e. budget attainment) by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.

Requirements:
• 1 year Prior Kitchen Manager or Restaurant Manager experience preferred
• Basic business math and accounting skills and strong analytical/decision-making skills
• POS systems
• Basic personal computer literacy (Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, AS400)
• This position is full time and requires the ability to work a flexible schedule; i.e. rotating shifts mornings, nights & weekends.
